The main entryway double doors are custom crafted of solid plank walnut that is 2.25 inches thick. They lead to a Halcomb Gold granite hallway floor. Even from this north entry way, there is an alluring Puget Sound view.
To the left is a foyer that leads to the kitchen and a main level laundry room. To the right of the entry is a large guest room with ensuite bath. There is also a powder room with a slab marble counter top set upon an antique Louis Philippe French confiture cabinet. An elegant, formal stairway leads up to the bedroom level. From the granite entry way, one flows past the walnut and wrought iron stairway and atrium into the great room. The rest of the main floor includes a laundry room with chutes from the upper level
Overall, this house is a melding of contemporary functionality and an early 18th century elegance no longer found in 21st century construction. The ceilings throughout the entry as well as the whole main floor are nine and one half feet high. A skylight crowns the stairway and provides abundant natural light to main hall around the stairway and down to the lower level.
